Elite section in Lausanne and Addis Ababa
The son of international coach Hansruedi Herren, Michel Herren has been accompanying young semi-founders at the top level since 2007, with multiple national medals at the key. In order to allow its leader Lore Hoffmann to continue to evolve globally, the group expanded to Ethiopia in early 2025. In Addis Ababa, Michel Herren and Guillaume Laurent develop more than just a sports project with coach Mulugeta Demissie on site: a project « Athletics and education ». They aim not only to accompany young Ethiopian semi-fundamental talents to progress to the highest level in a healthy environment, but also to give them keys for personal development, especially through learning English.

Training
The training of the elite section of ATHLE.ch is based on Ethiopian traditional know-how and the latest scientific and philosophical knowledge (see here). Far from treating the body as a machine, a physico-chemical aggregate to be optimised, it teaches athletes to feel and accompany at the highest level the mysterious interplay of forces and tensions that traverse them.
